Tata Motors has rolled out a new finance scheme under its ‘Key to Safety’ package, through which the Indian carmaker aims to offer easy financing options to ease the car buying experience. The scheme is presently only being offered with the Tata Tiago. The key features of the finance scheme are easy financing, affordable EMIs with long tenure loans and special offers for frontline warriors.

The EMI to be paid under the financing scheme can be customized. Customers can now drive their preferred variant of the Tata Tiago starting at Rs. 5,000 monthly payment for first 6 months, followed by an increase in EMI, for the scenario when loan amount is Rs. 5 lakhs for tenure of 5 years. As highlighted before, the car maker is also offering three options to repay EMI: a) pay the last EMI of Rs. 90,000 in full to get the ownership of the vehicle, b) return the vehicle to the financing partner in case of financial difficulties, and c) refinance the final EMI.

For models other than Tiago, Tata Motors is offering 100% on road funding on its entire range of cars and SUVs. Customers can also take advantage from the long tenure EMI schemes (up to 8 years) thus lowering the amount of their monthly EMI payment.

Talking about the ‘Keys to Safety’ initiative, Mr. Vivek Srivatsa – Head of Marketing, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Business Unit said, “At Tata Motors, we manufacture cars that are proudly Indian with international quality, design and safety. In the current times, with safety as the top priority, customers are seeking personal mobility options that are affordable and convenient to avail. Accordingly, we have designed this package to offer choice and enhance their entire experience of owning and driving our entire range of cars & SUVs."

Besides the Tata Tiago financing scheme, Tata Motors is also giving special benefits of up to Rs. 45,000 on its cars & SUVs to frontline coronawarriors such as doctors, healthcare professionals, essential service providers and police. This offers is availabel on all Tata Motors cars except for the Tata Altroz.

Tata Motors has also modified the car booking & delivery process to maximize social distancing and minimize the risk of spread of coronavirus.

Customers can enquire, request a test drive, make bookings and select their preferred financing option from the comfort and safety of homes via online platform or call the nearest dealer. Test drives are being offered on demand at the customer’s preferred location. To maintain social distancing, only one person drives the vehicle with a dealer staff member sitting in the rear seat to avoid any physical contact. Following every test drive, the vehicle is fully sanitized including replacing protective covers shielding the interiors of the vehicle that come in contact while driving. All discussions are being done virtually using digital tools and any meetings, if necessary, are being conducted with prior appointments and post verification of all requirements. Documents for vehicle insurance and registration are being collected via mail or specially installed drop boxes and vehicle deliveries are being done only after all formalities are completed.

Tata Tiago rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ford Figo and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios in India.
